Today I want to begin by talking about clarity and feedback.  As you begin talking with others in a group start using simple paraphrase to check for understanding. I know this feels odd, at first. It is vital in making sure you understand what the other is thinking. It is also helpful to the one speaking. It gives them a checking place for their own clarity.

It is a tool the whole group can use to facilitate the process of group understanding.

A great place to begin this paraphrase practice may be with a team where you feel comfortable. Make it a norm and hold each other accountable for simple paraphrase.
